2026 Annual Assessments
Big Changes Coming! We were recently notified that the company that provides our HOA management software (HOA Guru) will cease to support us this fall. Your board appointed a search committee to explore and analyze alternate software offerings based on capabilities, cost and fit for our Discovery community. This will require changes to how we operate going forward, the first of which could be how you pay your annual assessment.
As before, your $90 annual assessment will be due on 1 May and late after 31 May. Once again, you will receive both paper and email invoices. Your dues can actually be paid online now via your personal HOA Guru homepage, or you can pay via check. Once we convert to our new software (EasyHOA) on 1 June, you will have to be able to access your new personal account and pay using new formats and instructions...unless you want to pay by check. In either case, you will likely be subject to additional costs for late payment of your dues!
Please be aware that your annual dues will be late starting 1 June. Per our covenants, they are subject to a 10% penalty at that time and the board may elect to file a property lien for collection at any time thereafter. That would be an expensive experience as you would be liable for the cost of filing and removing the lien, as well as other associated expenses that would more than double the initial $90 assessment cost.
PLEASE take care of your annual assessment NOW before it becomes both more difficult and more expensive.
